I have bulky goods to send. What do I need to consider?
Some shipments cannot be processed on the conveyor belts of the automatic sorting systems due to their dimensions or outer packaging. These ‘non-belt-capable’ consignments (NB goods) are sorted and scanned manually in the depots and distribution centres. Therefore a surcharge is imposed.
We have summarised some examples of bulky goods in our guidelines for NB-goods.
The maximum permitted dimensions for parcel size and weight also apply when shipping bulky goods. Bulky goods may not exceed the maximum size of a parcel. The following maximum dimensions apply:
- Maximum length: 200 cm
- Maximum width: 80 cm
- Maximum height: 60 cm
- Maximum dimensions: 300 cm
