Facebook and Instagram contest rules
This document contains the terms and conditions for GLS’s Christmas competition, which runs from November 20, 2024, through December 18, 2024. Additionally, the document outlines the data processing activity for the competition, supplemented by our general privacy policy. Please refer to our privacy policy at https://link.gls.dk/persondata.
How to Participate
Pick up your parcel within 24 hours of receiving a notification from GLS indicating that your parcel is ready for pick up at a Parcel Shop. You will automatically enter the competition if you meet this requirement.
The competition runs from November 20, 2024, through December 18, 2024. The winners will be determined according to the terms outlined below.
You may only win once per drawing period, which is as follows:
- November 20 – November 26
- November 27 – December 3
- December 4 – December 10
- December 11 – December 17

Terms of Participation
The competition provider and data controller is GLS Denmark A/S, company registration number (CVR) 10 54 97 44.
The competition is open to anyone receiving a parcel via GLS during the competition period for delivery at a Parcel Shop.
Exclusions:
Employees of GLS Denmark A/S, members of their household, or those otherwise connected to the company are not eligible to participate.
Participation in the competition is not contingent upon a purchase; however, it requires parcel delivery via GLS to a GLS Parcel Shop, during which personal data will be processed.
Attempts to commit fraud will result in exclusion from the competition. Participation using someone else’s data is prohibited.
Prizes
The following prize can be won:
From November 27 and for the subsequent three weeks, 25 prizes will be awarded weekly. Each prize consists of:
- HINT GO and
- Christmas Collection from Summerbird Organic
Estimated value: DKK 733
Prizes cannot be exchanged for cash or substituted for other products.
Winner Selection
All participants who collect their parcel within 24 hours of receiving notification will automatically be entered into the competition. Winners will be drawn via a random generator on the following dates:
- November 27
- December 4
- December 11
- December 18
Each week, 25 prizes will be distributed.
Winners will be contacted by GLS as soon as possible via the email address provided when ordering the parcel.
Use of Personal Data
In connection with the competition, we process the following personal data:
- Your first name and email address
- Your phone number
- Timestamp of when your parcel was delivered to the Parcel Shop
- Timestamp of when you collected your parcel
The personal data collected during the competition will be used for the purposes of administering the competition (e.g., drawing and notifying winners, as well as sending prizes). The legal basis for processing personal data for the competition is Article 6(1) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Winners' information will be archived internally for overview and documentation during the competition period. The first name and initial of the last name of winners may be published on GLS’s website and social media channels.
The information on the winners is stored in accordance with our obligations under accounting legislation, other information is deleted after 30 days.

Your Rights
Under the GDPR, you have several rights regarding the processing of your personal data.

1. Right of Access:
You have the right to access the personal data we process about you, as well as additional information about the processing, pursuant to Article 15 of the GDPR.
2. Right to Rectification:
You have the right to have inaccurate personal data corrected, pursuant to Article 16 of the GDPR.
3. Right to Erasure:
In certain cases, you have the right to have your personal data erased before our regular data deletion schedule, pursuant to Article 17 of the GDPR.
4. Right to Restriction of Processing:
In some cases, you have the right to limit the processing of your personal data to storage only, pursuant to Article 18 of the GDPR.
5. Right to Data Portability:
In some cases, you have the right to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, and machine-readable format, and to transfer it from one data controller to another, pursuant to Article 20 of the GDPR.
6. Right to Lodge a Complaint:
